We all have heard the famous saying ‘A man is known by the company he keeps’. However, we often ignore the quality in our friends to be practicing Muslims.
In a Hadees of Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alaehi Wasalam, he has given the example of a friend in a perfume shop. If you spend time there, you will benefit from the pleasant smell there, or might as well get a good perfume as a gift. But if you’re at a welder’s shop, even if you manage to save your clothes from all the Ember, you will still have to tolerate the bad odor present there.
A good friend will bring you closer to Allah and Islam, whereas a bad friend will pull you further away. Therefore, choose your friends wisely and spend more time with those who are religious.
